Judy Ashurst Gilbert, Broker, is the first person to receive both the prestigious Phoenix and Eagle Awards in the Lake Country Board of Realtors. Judy is a graduate of Georgia College in Milledgeville and has done post graduate work at the University of Georgia. Judy taught school in the Morgan County school system for 7 years, before becoming a Realtor in 1978. Very Civic minded and active in the Community, she is past president of many organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce. Judy has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Her husband, Bruce Gilbert, sold his 50 year family hardware store and was Mayor for Madison for 20 years. He was only on the City Council for 37 years. He is now part of Madison Realty as the "Go to Person".
